Our little robin friends have fledged the nest. This morning, one was spotted hopping around in the garden. I went out to get a closer look, and it hopped right over to me, almost as if to say goodbye. She even followed me for a bit.
I went to the nest to see if there were any left. There was one perched just outside of the nest looking right into the chicken coop window.
I'm a bit sad to see them go. Having their nest in such a visible place was such a special treat for us.
They were the first thing we looked at in the morning, and the last thing we looked at at night. Bye bye little friends.

More New Residents At GnomeHollowPlayGarden!
This pair of Great Crested Flycatchers have moved into a birdhouse here at GnomeHollowPlayGarden! They've built their nest inside with rather curious nesting material. A white puff of material fell out while we were watching. We were amazed to learn that it was fur, more specifically, it was white animal fur!
